Yes — in baghouses with multiple compartments, it is technically possible to use Nomex in lower-temperature compartments and P84 in compartments receiving the hottest or most moisture-laden gas stream. However, this approach adds complexity to your maintenance and spare parts management.

For most operations, a uniform specification across all bags is simpler and more reliable. If your conditions justify P84 in any compartment, specifying P84 throughout is generally the recommended approach.

Add PTFE Membrane to Either Media

Regardless of whether you select Nomex or P84 as your base media, adding a PTFE membrane lamination to the filter surface significantly improves performance in asphalt plant applications by creating a non-stick surface that resists bitumen adhesion and allows cleaner dust cake release during pulse-jet cleaning cycles.
